Rifle front sight screw knowledge needed

Hey, I’ve pulled the front sight off my Marlin 1895 and I need a couple filler screws. Are these a universal size? Does anyone have any to spare?

Ace Hardware has a gunsmith section for screws. You might be able to find replacements and just cut them to length.

i believe they are 6-48. I just took some out of my 444p this weekend. thats the only reason I know

I was desiring fill screws like what’s in the receiver normally not regular screws. I think I’m not going to worry about it now. The holes match the holes from the ports.

An easy fix is to melt wax into the holes then touch it up with a felt tip marker. Pretty much makes the holes disappear but you can easily melt it out if you wanted to ever replace the sight.
