This. I have to go to Illinois this fall and will seperate my gun from the magazines, 10 rounds or less, and lock them up separately before I get to the state border. Magazines over 10 rounds will get you jail time and cause legal nightmares. I hate the commie pinko anti 2nd states.

I travel to central Illinois every fall for a car show. I keep it within my car and have had no issues. I realize I'm unable to carry on me, but having within the car is better than nothing. And where I travel, there is no 10 round restriction.

I stand corrected, thank you. I looked up gun laws in Illinois and my information was not correct.
Concealed carry permits or licenses issued by other states are not recognized, except that non-residents in possession of a carry permit or license from their home state may carry in a vehicle while traveling through Illinois.[16][22]
When a license holder is carrying a concealed handgun, and is asked by a police officer if they are carrying, there is a duty to inform the officer that they are. This can be done with a verbal reply, or by showing their concealed handgun license.[33]

Yes: Miranda laws are still in effect except the popo do not have to inform you of your rights any more. Regardless, the current state of universal corruption may render this a moot point.
