Oddly enough, that was the only movie of his that I could tolerate him....primarily, I think, because he wasn't being "funny".

I hear ya..Popeye was cool and he played the part very well. It was part of my childhood so I guess it has the nostalgia factor for me.

Very sad. Funny, funny man with a lot of demons. Did the funniest bit I have ever seen with Billy Crystal on the first Comic Relief years ago. Whatever his politics, he was great at making me laugh. RIP Robin Williams...I for one will miss your comedy.
