Rocket Stove

I saw one of these on a YouTube video and was impressed by how efficient they are. It took very little wood to cook a meal. The particular one was the K Rocket Stove by Minuteman Provision company. I thought they would go for about $25 to $30.

They want about $270 for this thing. Not only NO but H3LL NO.

Any of you have experience with a Rocket Stove?

I like this. It's titanium and built for ultralight backpacking. They also have it in stainless steel. It works very well.

Looks a little heavy for backpacking and doesn’t look like it would be too difficult to weld. It would be nice around a deer camp or car camping though.

Trangia Alcohol Burner and a little pot stand like the one below should be under $30 shipped for both. Solo Stove makes a burner that works almost as well as the Trangia (TruPrep had them in stock last time I was there).

Never underestimate southern ingenuity

When I’m hiking I use an Esbit alcohol stove to heat water for meals and coffee. Light, easy to carry, works when wet and brings water to boil in under 4 minutes.
