I'd just like to share a success story.
@Wallace's shared his Chevy 4.3 experiences.
Lo and behold mine started with a very nice rod knock.
I don't drive the truck much anymore and is used only when I had to move something.
So it sat parked for several weeks. I was going to just drop the pan and replace the rod bearings in the driveway.
Well my buddy has to sell his car so I'm letting him borrow the truck until he finds something.
I decided to use his mechanic to do the job since he needs it in a few days.
I got the truck back today and it starts and runs like it used to.
It is nice to find a good mechanic.
I'll post back if the knock returns with mileage.
It is a temporary solution and I'm curious to see how long it holds up.
