This question drives me nuts!

Does anyone actually count every round they shoot through their firearms? It takes everything in my power not to send a smart a$$ reply each time it's ask.

"It's anywhere between 1 and 50,000 rounds" or "I stop when the voices of our forefathers say it's enough"

I really don't get it... "I've shot 3,232 rounds through it" or maybe, "723-3/4 rounds."

Perhaps I should ask, "how many rounds does it take for you to buy?"

End rant....

If you buy ammo in lots of 500 rds or so, some folks keep up with how many lots they have shot, and have an idea what gun did most of the work.

On hunting guns, a deer rifle will likely have very low round count, whereas a sporting clays gun used several seasons will have a very high round count.

Typically, on any gun not used for seasons of competition, round count means bupkis.

A much better measure is TE and MW, but nobody measures this except a few milsurp owners.
