Ruger 10/22 is the most overrated gun ever.

I mean sure you can spend 2x-3x the price of a Marlin 60 to get a Ruger 10-22. Then spend another $200, $300, $400 or $500 on it to make it a decent rifle. Or....just go spend $130 at a pawn shop on a Marlin 60 or 795, buy a pack of bulk ammo, take it to the range and just have a decent rifle. But hey man I'm all about personal freedom, I'm not trying to tell you how to spend your money.

Love my marlin 60. Hell my mossberg plinkster is great too. Never owned the Ruger 22 so i have no opinion on it.

I'm a big fan of Marlins. The model 60 is a great gun. I own a model 795. Huge piece puff junk! I wish I had bought a 10/22.

1. For the record ,I have a Marlin 60 as well, it is a sweet shooting gun as well, but I like the 10/22 better
