Ruger M77 Mark II

I purchased this gun used it has a detachable magazine , I can load mag full and cycle all the rounds thru except for the last one and when I put one shell in mag and try to close it cants to one side or the top of the shelll case hangs on the throat ramp right befor it enters the barrel. any ideas
