Depends on what you want to use it for. I had a SS Ranch model for years and never had any problems with it - zero problems! I think there accuracy is not suitable for much over 125 yards. I think that is as good as an AK. I like their looks. Yes I am old school. If you want an up close and personal tool, it would fit the bill.

Coveted a mini-14, but the proprietary magazine killed it for me.

For the same money I can get an AR-15 and $10 magazines, and at the end of the day, they will both do the same thing,
