Huh! I could have sworn that those rounds were listed as a no-no when I went for testing. Has that always been the case or has it been changed lately?

Just curious why? Shorter OAL or not wanting that musket length rifle with can on the end?

What type of velocity did you loose? Also, did you have a dope chart for factory length? If so, how much did you have to adjust it after cutting it down?

About 40fps (2610) with a SD of 8 with 140 class bullets, picked the speed back with 130's

With FPS SD of 8, I assume you hand load?

What are you using? My best reload (granted I have only had one range session to test) were:

Hornady Brass
H4350 40.9gr
BR-2
142 SMK
2.820 OAL
.85 MOA - 600 yards

My 6.5CM loves the 143gr ELD-X HPH factory stuff, so I finally found those projectiles to try and match or better my best group of .473 MOA @ 100 yds.
