IF you succeed actually getting to run with it (which I doubt you would), at least carry it properly at port arms.
We never ran with slung rifles in the Marines.
I can almost guarantee you wouldn't get far though if you're not conditioned for running with a rifle as 7+ lbs gets awful heavy quickly!

My guess is that youth and immaturity are behind this idea. When I look back with regrets at some of the things I did when I was young, it is embarrassing. I don't think I will ever hold the embarrasment that you will should you follow through with this. It is going to be like the guy in the news recently who was showing off his open carry at a little league baseball game. That kind of behavior makes us all look like a bunch of nut cases and fuels the fire for the left.
