S&W Shield recall

You would think, if this was a safety issue. They would quickly announce the problem. The lower trigger, ok?? Whats wrong with it? I wounder if your good if you have the apex trigger in?

I would think if it was a simple, "The lower trigger breaks", they would just say that, and setup to fix the issue. If it's a catastrophic failure problem, you QUIETLY tell the dealers, and distributors to stop selling it, and don't say why.

The DCAEK trigger kit has nothing to do with the trigger piece itself. The Apex replacement trigger replaces... well, the trigger itself. So, those with the Apex DCAEK kits need not worry. I think the Video from S&W explained it pretty darn well. Should be an easy fix, just replace the trigger piece itself, problem solved. Those with Shields, inspect your trigger, if there is a problem, send it back. Those haters out there at wanna jump all over S&W for having a recall, just ask yourself this.. How many recoil spring recalls has Glock had with the Gen 4... yeah, best be quiet.

As far as the trigger itself and how that particular system works, I prefer it over the Glock trigger because it feels better than a Glock trigger. That little safety tang on a Glock trigger starts to hurt after a good bit of use. The Smith design is smooth and comfortable.
