Yes - the BATFE letter came out on like May 13th or something like that? Maybe a bit sooner? Anyways - the Saiga 12 is stil listed as a "sporting shotgun". There is no "ban".
However - if anyone saw any of my other Saiga posts - from what I have read the Izhmash factory has been shut down for "retooling" for some time now, and there are NO Saiga's being produced for import into the USA. In fact, Izhmash may discontinue the Saiga brand altogether. However, that doesn't mean the gun itself will go away - they will just manufacture it under a different brand name.
Anyways - the "scare" did cause prices to jump quite a bit. I won't say what I paid for my Saiga 12, but I think I did well. It's a really awesome gun - I don't know how to say this being gramatically correct, but it's the "funnest" shotgun to shoot I've experienced.
So $699 plus say 7% sales tax = $750(rounded)
Classic arms has unconverted for $649.99. Add 9.99 flat rate shipping and FFL fee and out the door for less than $700. This includes a black Bulldog shotgun case.
Converted for $899.99 + S&H and FFL, also with Bulldog shotgun case
They also have the 20 round drums for $99.99

LOL yeah it's kinda like a long run-on sentence. Worth it most times though. I bought a Wasr from them last year was they treated me right.
Incidentally they have the Slide Fire AR15 stocks for $349.99. I want one of these and don't even have an AR right now.
