Have a sam7k. Older 53 series model with 10.5 barrel. Pinned break blah blah. So i want to put a brace on it and need to remove the sling swivel. It has like a cotter pin effect with flat spread pieces on inside...and not sure best way to cut it off. Then should be able to get the kit and go. Any suggestions?. Im handy but not a machinist. I was thinking hacksaw the pin on the outside back plate and the inside pin part might just fall off?. Any experience with anyone whos dealt with the older series of sam7k?.

When I converted my saiga, I used a sharp chisel with light strikes from a hammer to cut the rivets that I didn't drill.
