This comes up occasionally. I don't think it's anyone's concern other than the person listing the item.
I personally had a weapon listed for 6500 for well over 6 Months. It eventually sold for my asking price.

I am interested in buying my kid a Mazda3. Found a 2012 online at a dealership for $6500 and it was on the site 200 days plus.

Asked what he could do price wise and he said $6500. I asked if there was anything he could do, and if not to let me know if that changes.

He said no, and that a process drop wouldn't be happening. I asked how long he has had the car....crickets.

I have equal disdain for sellers that don't turn on the comments. They're too dumb to realize that each comment bumps their overpriced item back to the top, allowing others to enjoy the humor of another man's pipe dream of getting $600 for a scuffed up $200 paddle stock 10/22.
