Sand Blasting

Cheaper is not always better in the sandblasting world, that said, you do not have to break the bank either.
It is all about airflow and a big enough compressor. I got a blast cabinet from Harbor Freight, (cheaper) and compressor came from Tractor supply (60 gal) on the lower end but gets the job done. Make sure to filter the sand, I was amazed on all of the (nozzle clogging)small rocks that are in bags of sand.

I am going to start cleaning up my old truck. I am planning on sand blasting some of the older parts to clean them up and repaint them. I tried wire brush but it's not doing the trick really. Anyone know a good place/person that does this or a decent sand blaster that doesn't break the bank? What size air compressors are needed for small sand blasters? This will be a slow process. A few parts at a time. I still drive the truck just not frequently.
Might be worth talking to Tower and Tank at Brunswick, Ga , 912-265-4568. They are good people. Happy trails.
