I would search for someone local who Cerakotes and ask them what they would charge just to blast it for you. They'll have the correct media in their blast cabinet already. If you take it to your local machine shop or whatever they're probably going to use a very course media that isn't going to give you a good result on refinishing it.

From what I read on the Duracoat w/s, all the prep necessary was sanding w/600 grit paper, and degreasing. Maybe just extra sanding to 'feather' at the damaged area. The Duracoat should properly bond to cerakote. www.duracoat-firearm-finishes.com

I have a machinist friend who will not touch a firearm. He can fix, copy, or make, any part. You will get thrown out by force if you bring an entire weapon into his shop for work.

He tells the story about a guy whi comes around to this shop asking questions and making friends. After a couple years of doing this. One of the workers said Bring it around after work.

He did and WHAMY the guy was an informant for the ATF working off a beef.
