Savage FV-SR upgrades

Just received my DIP bottom metal today. Put it altogether and here is what she looks like.
I will take my daughter shooting on Monday and see how the rifle does and see how she likes it.

What scope is that you have on yours?

I currently have a cheap Bushnell banner 3x9 I plan on throwing on top for now but will be looking for something a little better down the road.

It's a Mueller APT 4.5-14x40. Decent scope for the money. They go for around $135 I believe.

I had one that I did a lot to. Boyd's stock, DIP bottom metal and trigger guard, pillared and bedded the action, and apachee trigger. That rifle was a laser! My only gripe was the horrible, finicky magazines that Savage makes, and no aftermarket ones available.

Like I said, it shot great, but sold it to a member here, to fund some other things.

Mags seems to be the issue that everyone mentions but I think it will serve as a great first rifle for my daughter.

I was just going off of memory on the price. Memory isn't so good anymore. I checked Amazon and they're going for $145.99 right now. Still a pretty good price for that scope IMHO.
