Scope Recommendation

Little bro got a badass rifle for pretty cheap. It’s a Bergara BMP in a McMillan A6 stock and TT. He’s telling me his budget is $2k, but I don’t believe him. He wants to get into mil rad so he wants a mil / FFP scope. Anyone got recommendations? I told him to save $400-$500 more and get the Gen III razor or ATACR, but he’s not listening. This is the rifle, obviously, the scope is pulled since the seller wanted to keep it.

I have the 3-18 vudu. I think he would like that ultra short 5-25.
