Dang, I've had an SKS that I bought (back in the day) for about $100 or less right out of the wooden box. Cleaned all the cosmoline off & out of it. It was surprisingly accurate for a mil sup iron sight gun...
 
HiPoint carbines are way more accurate than you would expect. Same with the Walther PPQ series pistols, although that shouldn't really be a surprise.
 
Anything you buy typically will be accurate. The real questions are finding what you want. Do you want just a tool or something you can have with addition to pride in ownership and workmanship that can be appreciated. The two most important variables to shooting performance are the shooter and the ammo. Ammo is second because consistent predictable ammo is important. The rest is on the shooter to make that gun shine.
