I would add another myth regarding self defense is this phrase...

"I dont need empty handed (combat/fighting skills), cuz i carry a gun."

Not every situation requires or even allows for drawing your firearm. Empty handed skills shine in those situations (as do non lethal force multipliers).Even if you find yourself in a situation that does require lethal force, you may find yourself having to fight for the draw.

Can't use a 22 for self defense.
Shotgun won't go through walls so it's better than a pistol or rifle in the home.
