Selling to new traders

I have been burned by newbs and low feed back members a couple of times, no shows and item was not as described. Had one on a pistol bring a completely different gun to the meet, I have had a couple of messages that were just weird and set off red flags( possible robbery) so I just stopped communicating with them. Always set up deals in pm so you can give negative learned that the hard way, there is a long time high feedback member on here I would love to neg but cant. If coms and person seem off or make you uneasy don't go through with it, and make the newbs and lows drive to you.

I'm just being curious and cautious. Some of the "new" traders are like 1-2 days old and didn't want to be ignorant of some new thing going on if there was one.

Did members have a problem dealing with you when you were new ?
Maybe give the new members the same chance you were given.
1 cannot prove themselves unless given a chance.

Was the site full of craiglisters 9 yrs ago? I ,like many others have given many chances and been %ed over. I understand your argument but no longer care.let somebody else deal with it,You perhaps.

Have any of you sold to people without a GWCL? All previous traders I've dealt with had one and fill out a bill of sale to protect myself and the other party. I know the state doesn't require it but I like being on the safer side.

Never checked a GWCL,not my job or the law,Ga dl yes. Most of the people i deal with are 50-100+ and i don't question them or what they have/say because the FB is their word,that's why it's there.

Certain crimes that don't allow firearm purchase do allow a drivers license. A GWCL would negate all of it. Granted if that said person hasnt committed a crime while in the validation period. Also it is illegal to sell to such persons.

Have had multiple commit to buy in a first message then never respond again, if they communicate well then it goes well. One thing I always do is state up front that I prefer to negotiate a deal through messages on here. Also a newb always comes to me unless i'm going to already be in the particular area.
