Actually no. I scored one of those for less than $700 on gunbroker . Scored the titanium gold one for $1,200.

Just find someone who can’t make it work. Odds are they are limp wristing , using wrong ammo , cannot clean guns for **** or all of the above .

Thank you sir. Just found out there is not another one produced exactly the same as this one and the grip screws and medallion on the bonded ivory grips were plated in 24 carat gold so that was a nice surprise. The shop made 25 various type of custom gun sets for 2018 but only 1 like this one so now I am really happy.

New you can get one for around $1,100 with the full beaver tail and extended safety. A top notch 1911 in 10mm.

Desire is in the eye of a the beholder but Colt's hold their value and are desirable to many devotees of the brand and others as well.

It's a caliber that reloading it makes a lot of sense.
