Seriously, does it make that much of a difference (charging handle)?

Lol, I didn't read the 17 page pissing match, but I'll give my two cents anyway.
A quality charging handle such as BCM, serves a very good purpose over a standard milspec. If you don't think cleaning up your action, smoothing out the charging operation, speeding up the manual cycling of the action, has any value then don't spend the $40.00. I think its a night and day improvement and love the simple upgrade.
For those that recommended the large oversized handle web............I see a problem with this. If it even gently catches on something, you run the risk of pulling the bolt out slightly of battery. On a duty weapon this could cost you your life.

Surprisingly, it didn't turn into much of a pissing match. Everyone, for the most part, has been well behaved and informative. My mind has been changed and I will be ordering new charging handles soon.
