Seriously, does it make that much of a difference (charging handle)?

I put a scope on my AR awhile back and it made it a little harder to use the mil-spec charging handle, so I just replaced the latch with one of these for $7.00

Made by UTG, so I guess I'm not a real operator either. It works great though. LOL

I have a buddy and co-worker that swears by the BCM charging handles. Does it really make that big of a difference? I have only had and used whatever factory charging handle that came w/ the rifle. But, he has me considering doing an upgrade. And, y'all know my cheap ass ain't about to spend $40 if I don't need to.

I recently picked up a KS47 ( wonderful rifle) but no bolt hold open due to accepting AK mags.
I picked up a BCM extended charging Handel due to the optic I have mounted and it's a must! I really didn't know what I was missing. Now all my AR's have one.

And that's where they git ya. Now all three of my rifles have em two raptors and one bcm, so I'm in for like $250 just on some charging handles... not to mention the same thing happened with the magpul pro steel sights... ODT saved me a little but I have 3 sets @ around 400 bucks! Could have bought another rifle! It's only $$ and one part at time over time doesn't hurt the budget too bad... but it all adds up in the end. When I like something and I feel like it's perfection then I can't settle for anything less it seems.

As has been said in one of the other 154 posts, I have a 7,62x39 build that is hell on the fingers. Not sure why it is so hard to charge, as I don't have it running right yet, but after manually charging if 25+ times, the finger tips are on fire. Yes, I am a pansy and no, I am not an operator. So, I am going to order one for this reason alone. And, if I like it, I will order more for my other rifles.

Hey, I've got Magpul furniture on my AR, does that count for anything?
:pound:
I put seventeen MIAD grips into a mortar and pestle, melted that down and mixed it with some cerakote.

You may have Magpul furniture but my whole AR is a magpul.

Off to shave my neck, brb.

Yep, that's how it goes! LOL. I have a Sig Romeo 4B on my AR Pistol, liked it so much put one on my MPX, and now I'm finishing up my 14.5" ar build and guess what... I'm probably going to throw a romeo 4b on it @ 242.00 with a lifetime warranty though sig it's just hard to beat and co-witnessed through the magpul pro's it's just perfection for my eyes and my price point.
