Sharing the road with bicyclists

Who said anything about passing laws? I was just commenting on why a lot of people think they are jerks. I don't care what you do on or off the road.

Been ama little over 7 months since I visited this thread…….I still hate cyclists. I hope the next time you go out to a restaurant the cook puts his boogers in your food.

Lots of $hit talk here, that kind of talk is cheap, legal defense is not, so much so I'm certain you would not financially survive were you to actually injure or take someone's life. I have seen it, I worked in many of the shops in the city, Bicycle South, Freeflite, The Bike Link. I have seen my friends run over and one turned into a vegetable until he passed, RIP Albert Cohen. With over one hundred fifty thousand cycled miles on Atlanta roads I myself have bee struck many times by dumbasses like you who think they own the road and clearly lack tolerance and patience and a little feeling of kindness especially when they are SO in the wrong. You WILL share the road or you WILL be dealt with by the law, adjust your thinking, see the error you your emotional outburst and focus on the logic of 'live and let live'. I have the same right as you to the road, from yellow to white lines.

Along these lines, I have a view worth mentioning. First, however frustrating for motorists, we all share the road, legally. I don’t agree with bicyclists on a busy narrow 2 lane hwy but the rules are the rules.

As for my view, the cost of a legal defense is far cheaper than loosing your life. I’m broke and you are dead. That is preschool level math.

edit: I have for many years donated to a good friend of mine’s bicycle racing team (Team Type 1, now called Team Novo Nordisk).

I go biking around my area. Plenty of bike trails and sidewalks. Holding up traffic on a busy hwy while riding parallel to a sidewalk is dumb and inconsiderate. I do NOT bike on highways and hold up traffic.

Yep, and when I did ride a bike, I gave vehicle vehicles a wide berth. You go first, you have a chit load more mass.

The alternative is not worth making a power statement! You gonna lose that battle over mass.

Einstein was right, and you better understand that.

a lot of complaints about them at the local church
they come out here to the country where I live and ride these winding roads
they are a nuisance not letting you pass or move over
and they are not from around here
no body that lives around here wears them kind of clothes
the church had to put signs up asking bicycle riders to not relieve themselves behind the church
they get no mercy from me, I would like to tie a 4x4 to my rear bumper sticking out to the right side about 4 feet
