I was at my cousins this week large track , he said they have found a few sheds already.
However as we rode around found a fresh (as in last day) scrape and broken branch. Leaves everywhere but the scrape.

Interesting contrast. I have never found a shed , hope to this year.

Sometimes they shed in December, but most of them keep their horns until turkey season. At least that's the way it seems to me. I've seen plenty of horned bucks during early turkey season.

Find the bedding areas and you will probably find a shed or two.

In for details. I was at the deer processor in Wilkinson last weekend of deer season and they were cleaning a buck that had already dropped his rack. They said it was the 3rd they had seen already. But like OP said, fresh scrapes on our club lease. Young bucks I guess? Yearling fawns going into heat late keeping the bucks in the mood? Idk...

I had a small 6 pointer on camera a few weeks ago with one side only. I assumed a defect but perhaps he had already shed one side.

Does this count? We just found it
