Shipping a shotgun in GA

Are there any easy ways to ship a shotgun within GA? Trying to buy one private sale, and the seller can't seem to get a straight answer from USPS, or other carriers. I don't feel like spending money on FFL. I think the gun shops near by are pretty pricey.

Any recommendations how to make a deal happen? Shotgun is near Tifton, I am in Suwanee.

Are there any legal issues with shipping a shotgun? I think that was a sellers concern

It's no different than shipping a baseball bat or a sword. within the state of Georgia.

A private carrier (UPS) could ship it between private parties, but they won’t.
Their company policy is it has to be to, or from, an FFL dealer / gunsmith / factory.

Actually, it may be a crime under both federal and state law to introduce a firearm into a transportation terminal WITHOUT notifying the carrier company.
And I mean “notify” them specifically that it’s a gun you’re sending.

The folks at the UPS store ask "What's in the box"

The USPS ask "What's not in the box".

Within the state of Georgia, just ship it USPS and keep your mouth shut about "What's in the box".

I've shipped one USPS back to H&R in the past with no problems at all! Even shipped it parcel post LOL
