I've been an on again, off again user of Varget. It's one of the most market supply sensitive powders though, so supply can suck at times. No longer... I found the answer. Shooters World has a new powder and so far I'm thrilled. Targets are 200 yards, 175gr SMK, LC brass.

Excellent! What is the name of the new powder? Is it S-062? Is it a military pull down powder?

Varget is good stuff, but when the drought of reloading gear happened (and at times continues to happen) It disappeared. When it came back it was not cheap. I have enough of the IMR powders to last till I'm dead so I wasn't to pressed to run out and pay premium for Varget.

The Shooters Word name is Precision Rifle, and they should have it out at distributors now or very soon. My 8lb jug only has a white label with the stock number, as it was part of a give away when they were taking suggestions for the new name. (Precision Rifle). Check with the guys at North Georgia Reloading in Fort Oglethorpe.

I shoot groups that size with my SKS from 21 feet.
It makes changing the targets easy when you only have to walk 7 steps forward!
But you go on hiking 1/4 mile round trip to check YOUR targets if that's your thing.

;)
