Is Wilson shoals open? It has a range on a state WMA in the area of Lula (985/365 corridor).

It’s a great place to go shoot the have a rifle and pistol range I think I’m about due a trip there myself

Used to do it all the time. You have to be a certain distance from roads or campsites. I think it’s 50 ft or so.

Again, that's assuming you clean up all of your mess --both your brass and your targets when you leave.

Thank you everyone for the feedback and comments. Had a great time with my nephew…found a nice spot with a safe backstop. Set up some folding chairs and really enjoyed beautiful north GA. Nobody out there but ourselves and some occasional Jeep folks..heard others a few ridges over pew-pewing also. Picked up all my brass and targets…didn’t blast away at any trees. A very nice change to the indoor range…or the paper target outdoor experience.
