ShopRuger Suffered a Data Breach

I just received notice that my credit card information was stolen during a security breach at ShopRuger.
Evidently, the malware was on the website from September 18, 2020 through February 3, 2022. It was actually on the software that the company who processes the payments at the ShopRuger website. So, if you shopped there, be on the lookout for a letter from them.

One thing I was shocked at, was the fact the company didn’t even notify Ruger until August 2 of this theft

I received the same letter yesterday. Haven’t seen any fraud yet on my cards, and all my credit is always frozen.

As long as you guys used actual credit cards you should be good. Here's hoping you didn't use a debit card.

I use prepaid credit cards -- I know it costs $5.00 to $6.00 additional per purchase but there is no name or address attached to the card -- just a zip code. And if gets stolen -- all they will get is maybe $0.68 cents. It's a pain but in my book well worth it. Very limited trail and the wife never sees the actual cost (best benefit)....

Yup, got the letter. Never noticed anything fraudulent, probably been a couple years since I bought something from the site.
