Shotguns not allowed at indoor ranges

One thing I'm seeing a lot of ranges ban now is steel cased ammo.

I had to buy some brass 7.62x39 recently just so I could shoot an AK at a few ranges around here.

Not sure why suddenly it's taboo.

Gunfighter Gunfighter mentioned earlier that the only thing worse than shotguns was steel and aluminum case ammo, maybe he could chime in again on why that is. I was curious as well...

Uh oh. I hope that isn't coming to the local range I use. One allows anything steel cased and the other requires range safe 7.62x39.
 
Yeah, my 'main' indoor range is Quickshot, and they are fine with steel-cased ammo.

Sharpshooters used to be OK with it but last time I was there it was a no-no. And Adventure Outdoors has never allowed it from what I remember.
