Do you mean a vent rib?

It has to cut at one of the posts for the rib.

Vadar defense in buchansn will do it if you want to SBS it they will also help with paperwork. Biggest thing in a vent is verifying you cut above the vent weld then grinding back to instead of flush cutting. If you 18" length falls in a weld you will have to spend a bit to pin it back. Also, be aware that on a lot of new guns, the posts for the vent rib other than the ones on each end may not be attached to the gun -- need to save that $2.00 to reach a price point, don't you know.
