I can only speak for myself but, I've always been kind of a lurker. There may be topics that I may post knowledge or experience on but, I'm here because I like to look and learn about firearms. I've owned plenty in my past by I am in no means an expert on any. Therefore, it makes my post count small in general. I will post a GLWS, etc when looking at a classified but, that's to give acknowledgment "a bump".

I think I look at AR classifieds here more than anything. The reason being is there are so freaking many variations and builds. You can basically have two AR 15's with the exact same specifications but, the prices be completely different. Now, there are several reasons why this can be but, the classifieds tend to bring these questions to surface. The is such shear level of exposure to so many different things. Once, we see what's out there, then we can research what peaks our interests and learn. Restricting such would simply be hurtful.

I don't believe in restricting the buy/sell features. Had I not been able to jump in and list my Glock for sale immediately, I never would have stuck around. My primary interest in this site is selling and trading, my secondary interest is conversation and reading. If I wanted a place that was a PITA to sell, I'd stick with Gunbroker.

I'm disappointed this thread even exists. I don't automatically consider, respect, or in general think differently of two ODTers because one of them has 5000 posts or transactions while the other may only have a single post or transaction. My opinion of anybody on here, or anywhere else for that matter, is based solely on my particular dealings with them. Leveling restrictions on new members just because they are new is ridiculous in my opinion and would be detrimental to what I understand the goal of this site to be, which is to provide a place for Georgia people to buy/sell/trade their items. Using the fact that people lowball or may only pop in and sell an item one time as a basis for any kind of restrictions makes even less sense to me. I've bought and sold a few things on here. I do it for fun. I try and buy as cheap as I can, and sell as high as I can. What's wrong with that? Nothing, at least in my mind. The haggling process, regardless of how low it may initially start, often leads to the creation of what can be some highly entertaining interaction between a buyer and seller on this site, and it is often in public where we can all get a kick out of it. There is no difference in my mind between a member of this site who has been here three years and a member who has been here three days...they are both members of the same group. To try and make a distinction between the two, especially with restrictions that apply to one and not the other, is in my opinion arrogant and unwarranted, and I'm glad to see that most people don't seem to want to impose any kind of restrictions.

Good way to get riis of a lot of folks, including myself, would be to require restrictions as suggested by the OP.
There are many people out there still that like trading and have traded most if their lives, just not on this site. Most of them are good people, but their will be some bad. Why run off the majority of the goog traders, just to get rid of the few fools.?

I agree with this. I was looking at a gun the other day that was priced right and I wanted, but the seller had 5 feedbacks, 3 negative and 2 positive. People like that need to be banned as well.
