Should parents be jailed if their children have access to their firearms and use them in a shooting?

If I let you in my house and you Steal an unsecured weapon and use it in a heinous crime..
Should I be tried and partially responsible?

A gift is quite different from stealing....however still, how your guns to be stolen, if they were secure???
There is no correct answer on this...case by by case....I'm not sure there is a law, and covers everything, like a blanket....we have a supreme court because the constitution needs to be interpreted....

Then we would have to argue what is and isn't secure. A lock is a lock, right? I mean none of us have a lock on our holsters to secure our gun, does that mean if someone wrestles is away and uses it, we are somehow responsible? Can't paint broad strokes as every situation is different.

Did you see the word reasonable? Yes that would need some clarification.
But no court in the union would say that if someone committed a forcible felony against you to obtain a weapon that they then used in another felony, they would be convicted of that second forcible felony.

Did you see the word reasonable? Yes that would need some clarification.
But no court in the union would say that if someone committed a forcible felony against you to obtain a weapon that they then used in another felony, they would be convicted of that second forcible felony.

That’s why we have the courts and all that now. Yeah **** is tried sometime, but courts keep it level, at least in most states.
I don’t go to states where my gun is not welcome.
It’s been that way since the founding.
you can be sued and/or charged with anything.
Hell you can take your thinking to extreme and lock yourself in a bubble, if you want to. But I will not.
