I walk my 2 little Yorkies late at night every night down my road and back. Last night for the first time ever the Coweta Co Sheriff's dept was patrolling. I live in a quiet, clean, crime-free area.
Anytime I see headlights I draw my dogs close in and move them off the road while turning my flashlight on and lighting up the road around us.

While jawing with my brother in law on the phone at 11pm as I walked my dogs down the road I saw headlights coming, got my 2 house rodents off the road and a car quietly rumbled up beside me and stopped.
I was standing sideways, out in the country on a backroad late at night.
I turned to face the driver and saw 2 smiling deputies asking me if everything was ok, did I need any help or a ride. I simply told them I was just walking my dogs and they were so nice about it.
There was no hassle about my pistol(I have a GWL), they didn't even mention my pistol, ask for my permit and gave off no alarms to it though they obviously were looking right at it holstered on my waist. I'm sure they know they'd have been able to get the drop on me anyway had I been a threat.

I lived in Henry Co for a long time and loathed EVERY SECOND of everyday I was there where this situation would've had back up called and had me detained until they could asertain my intentions.
Senoia is so much nicer, quieter, cleaner, the police aren't Nazi's and they act like human beings.
Those guys could've been dicks to me late last night, I was out walking on the road, I was armed, I could've been percieved as a threat but instead they were super cool and courteous, gave no hassle and treated me with respect.

My hat goes off to the Coweta Co Sheriff's Dept for being proffessionals a great group of people !

He probably saw a grown man walking Yorkies and was understandably confused and alarmed. I'd stop to check on you, too, to make sure you weren't being held against your will and being forced to do unspeakable things...like having to walk Yorkies...
