View attachment 1926713 I shot this one a couple years ago. The 25-06 blew his hind quarter on the side he’s laying on completely out. I was wanting to have him full body mounted but the taxidermist said there was no fixing it. Hes still in my freezer. May just settle with a shoulder type mount. Deer rounds put a hurting on them.

You may want to get a second opinion from a different taxidermist. I turned one inside out and basically gutted it when i shot it. My taxidermist turned this one:

Nice work. I have a ton of coons at my deer feeders.

I always called male coons “boar” and female ‘sow” not sure why.

And you may be 100% correct. I just said "buck" to indicate a male.

Nice rare colors, Pure Black and silvers always bring top dollar, I only ever got two, one was black and silver the other was almost all black, got a pure cinnamon one time, it even had red eyes. Not pink, red.

I set out four live traps yesterday evening trying to catch Coons around the feeders.

Took the boy today, he was surprised but enjoyed it.
We had two Possums the other two were empty.

Question, what do y'all do with them/why kill? I get beavers being a pest and coyotes, but are bobcats a problem?? Curious as I thought those were pretty reclusive and hard to find
