There is some good information at this sight. They have pretty good diagrams that will allow you to build your own system, which will be allot cheaper than the complete systems. They also walk you through figuring out the capacity you will need. You can put a portable system together that will fit on a hand truck for a fairly descent price.

Now it I remember, this was before the train fully derailed......I like to think of it as the "entertaining" days before it all when sideways......it was always good for some quality time on the throne (just like now)

I'm a fan of solar, but for a survival scenario it doesn't make much sense beyond charging small DC items.

Short run= generator
Long run= wood gasification rig for your generator
Ninja stealth mode= you need to be able to get by without power
