SHTF trade question

Vacuum seal EVERYTHNG. Daisy seal-a-meal LOVES GLOCKS! And they love it right back. Ammo in Ammo cans for intermediate storage but with an absorber and vacuum sealed for long term. Invest in long term food storage. I have 6+ months of food that is good for 25 more years.

The fancy food storage really gives me comfort....
If I live long enough for it to expire (which I doubt) I'm going to give it to the local scout troop. lol

Hell, I seriously doubt I'll be alive to worry about it. I'm 51 now. This stuff will definitely outlast me. LOL.

Least we ain't gonna die of hunger...well, unless we try to eat that crap dry. Dat stuff is HARD! I cooked one Chicken A-la King dish to the instructions once and the peas were STILL hard as marbles.

My son and I tried every variety on a long road/camping trip.
When we were done with the trip we were both satisfied with the quality, but had different favorites.
(I really like that Pasta Primavera).

Wise? I have both Wise and Chef's banquet. I found the Chef's Banquet MUCH more generous.

You know, I helped with some of the relief efforts after the Tuscaloosa tornado. Pretty close to a SHTF even for that area.

Know what they wanted after food and water? Toiletries.

Yup. Soap, shampoo, personal hygiene items. That's what more people asked for..

Patronus - I also bought some of the veggies and fruits which seem to be considerably cheaper.
(I figured with a chunk of any meat I could make a soup or stew out of it). Everything from bell peppers and onions to asparagus. Must have at least 8 different kinds of veggies and maybe 6 different kinds of fruit. They were less expensive than the entrees by far. I think all the stuff is Mountain House with a little Saratoga Farms mixed in.

Soap is kind a pain to store. You need to put it in an airtight container or it will smell up the whole place. They put too much perfume in it. I do have one storage tote with several 8 packs of Zest, ,Coast, etc. But I hate opening it. Such a blast of fragrance. And it is stored in a cool, dry SHTF "bunker"(my basement. LOL).
