Sig P229 Platnium Elite Conversion

Hey ODT -

I have been obsessed with this model since I became a firearm enthusiast years ago.

My question is this, is there anything besides the grips and Platinum Elite logo on the slide that separates this particular model from a P229 Elite 9mm SRT? Could I theoretically find a P229 2 tone SRT, change out the grips to the same the Platinum Elite has and essentially have the same firearm minus the slide branding?

You know all newer p229 are great and fairly similar. Yeah you could do that, but it will still not be that platinum thing, and it will bother you, and you will sell it and eventually hunt down the real platinum one. So just wait until you get one. You know you can't help it.

I love my P229 Platinum. It's my everyday carry actually.

Funny you say that Borvix, I mentioned that exact thing to a buddy of mine. I think I'll keep looking. Hopefully someone will let one go soon.
