Solid for self defense? My normal go to ammo is HST’s but I can’t find them any cheaper the $1 a round. You can find these signs in the 60-75 cents a round range? So what does the ODT say?

Long read, but a reasonable apples to apples test on various ammo. Seems like the Sig V-crown didn't do poorly....

I've bought v-crown and can say for the money it is some fine quality ammo. The tests I've seen say it's pretty good in penetration and expansion.
Ammo preference is subjective. With that said, I have it loaded in a lot of mags and am confident it will make a hole
V crown is good stuff. HST can now be found for less than $1 a round now though online in 50 round boxes.
