. Can't say better because I don't have the X-sight. That thing has all the bells and whistles. . that you probably don't need. I know I don't. I can tell you from all the vids I've seen the image quality looks on par or better from the Photon. Both have poor onboard IR, but you can add other units. I'd say this is a smoking deal. I'm very happy with mine. On a moonless night your looking about 100yds w/ onboard IR. Full moon , I can make out everything in my neighbors yard 250yds away.
