Since bourbon is getting stupid….

$44 at one store and $46 at the second.....
This one was $30 at Beverage Mart in Acworth. I saw a barrel strength one for (I think) $44, and another label which I can't recall. Prices are all over the place with bourbon it seems. Beverage Mart has had lots of Eagle Rare for $40, then the little package store a few miles away was trying to get $90 for it!

It’s 80 proof, isn’t it? Same as most bourbon.
I'd say most bourbon isn't 80 proof given that's the lowest proof "bourbon" can be. But no four roses single barrel is 100 proof. If u typically drink only 80 proof stuff I'd say take a step up and go to "Old Forester 100 proof" about $24-$26 last time I checked. Or even try wild turkey 101(101 proof of course)

An old unopened bottle of 4 roses that I got at an estate sale years ago. Any body know how old it is, Thanks.

Is there a year on the tax stamp around the cap?

That’s back when it was made at Seagram’s old distillery, now known as MGP, and blended whiskey. Somewhere from 1950s to 2001. The Maryland Distillery closed in 1985, so we can narrow it down to 1955 - 1985. (I had to Google some of that info)

Somewhere during Marty McFly’s time travels. If you figure out the rest let us know.

Picked this up today for $39 which aint all that bad for something that's been sitting in a barrel for 13 years, and shipped from panama to france.
