Sitting in class

So I was sitting in class today. We have one way in one way out. It’s also in a basement. We do have about 10 windows but that’s it. Am I the only one who examine a room just in case SHTF? I’m not too comfortable in this class lol

I do it in theaters, restaurants, churches, grocery stores, everywhere really -- always eyeing possible entries and exits and where I'll run to if stuff goes down.

So here in MS if you have MS enhanced cary you can carry on campus. I can not confirm or deny that I’m counting on that.

I have always done that but especially did it when my kids were young, not necessarily for a possible active shooter incident but any kind of emergency.
I was advised when I recently visited Turkey to specifically not look too aware of my surroundings. Most people won't notice someone choosing a seat with a clear line of sight or who clocks all the exits but some people will.

It took awhile, but now when we go out to eat my wife checks our table/booth before she is seated to make sure I've got the seat with the better view of "what's happening".
