I realize you didn't say SKS's can't come in, and you're right that currently there's no recent imports available for sale and definitely no steady stream of imports, but SKS's occasionally are imported in small numbers.

You probably recall 3 years ago Classic received a few hundred beautyful Yugo ceremonial SKS's from Serbia and recently some used Chinese rifles imported from some other country than China

Consensus seems to be they were stored in Albania for over 20 years, thus allowing their import. Many have so called "trench art" that matches that region.

The Albanians are a very interesting lot. Very scarce even more so in primo all matching condition. Seems that at some point the UN offered the Albanian got food in exchange for the weapons. Many were destroyed. They are easy to spot. Longer forearm and double cleaning trap doors in the butt. When you discuss all matching make sure that includes the piston rod. If your really into them there is a lot of info on the SKS survivors board in the Albanian section. There are a lot of Chi Com ones around but they are not true Albanians just ones that were sent from China

One very nice Chinese "Norinco" SKS sold for $750 just the other day. Wow...

Another Chinese SKS recently sold for $500 and that is without the cleaning kit, bayonet or cleaning rod.

This Albanian sold last month for $975.... Very nice rifle, but at that price I passed on them and went on to AKs.
