Thanks for the info I have one in the freezer from last year I have been wanting to do.

Good luck. Skull mounts seem to clean easier if you skin it ASAP after the kill.

I have a buddy that used to find an ant bed in the yard and stick the skull in it for a few days after skinning to let the ants get those hard to reach spots before boiling. Sounds like you got a good system though. Looking good!

I always simmer my skull mounts. Never let the water get hot.enough to boil, as it makes the small bones weak and can make the skull chalky. Usually takes about 5 or 6 hours. When you lift it out, everything falls off. Hit it with a garden hose sprayer, break off the ear canals, and peroxide soak or bleach powder with volume 40 paste.

Well here is after Oxy boil and pressure wash. Hope to hit it with the Peroxide tomorrow.
