As I’ve gotten older my snoring has gotten worse. Horrible snoring, wake up through out the night with Arizona dessert dry mouth. Often wake up gasping for air and fighting like I’ve been attacked by a mountain lion.

Any recommendations? And devices or machines you guys recommend? Pills? Tape?

I have had sleep apnea for about 20 years, sleep with CPAP machine every night, love it. You will have to get a sleep study done, then get a prescription from a MD to get a machine. I use a very basic machine, basically a fan in a box. I have water handy on the nightstand to get a drink during the evening as needed, I am up to pee a couple times anyway. It has helped me a great deal, I highly recommend.

No experience with any other kinds of treatment.

This!
Plus wife has a special pillow and an adjustable bed. Elevating her head helps even with the CPAP. The new sleep study can even be done at home. Very convenient.

Did the sleep study, got a machine, tried it, HATED IT. I got fitted for 4 different masks before I gave up. Plus with the distilled water…and cleaning it….

It’s still in the carrying case at the bottom of my closet. worst $1200 I ever spent.

Edit: I hope it works for you if you need it. Most Swear by it. I just know I slept way worse because I don’t like anything on my face. That’s just me.

Talk with you doctor and get a referral to a sleep specialist. Broke my nose twice in the Air Force. Started having breathing problems after that.

Sleep apnea if untreated is deadly. Had it for 25 years. Won't even nap without it.
