You don't need notifications for a smart watch to be useful. I absolutely love laying in bed in the middle of the night and being able to control lights and thermostats through the SmartThings ap.

I've worn an Apple Watch since they added the EKG so I could monitor my atrial fibrillation. Just last month I was in afib for 12 days. After the 3rd day, I couldn't feel the afib like I normally can. I thought it was over and converted to sinus rhythm, but it hadn't. I consider it invaluable for that reason alone. I also use it to monitor my O2 levels, my steps and exercise, and more importantly I use it to remind me to take my medication throughout the day.
I destroy watches, but my Apple Watch holds up pretty damn well.I just bought one. (Galaxy). Primarily for health and exercise monitoring. I haven't worn a watch in years and after a few days I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get used to it again. (Plus I'm kind of rough on them).
What has been your experience?
I started wearing a watch back in grade school. I like to know the time, day and dateBut I go back and forth with my nice watch.
I hate not wearing any watch at all.
I wished I didn't have a cell phone either. All that stuff is a money pit. But glad you like itI got an Apple Watch so I could read texts at work without having to pull out my phone. I can also see who's calling me and send them to voicemail.
I can also change what I'm listening to without having to get to my phone while I'm doing dirty manual labor .
Check the weather, have a timer, check the upcoming calendar, monitor heart rate / exercise, unlock my computer. It is a convenience like a cell phone.
I'm not a fan of cardio-version, from what I've read, and people I've spoken with, ablation is the way to go.Been treated for Afib recently...
Had 3 rounds of cardio-version. Sinus rhythm only lasted 3 days before Afib returned.
Next was Cardic Ablation procedure. Been in sinus rhythm for 3 weeks now.
