Totally different. The numbers in side the yoke are assembly numbers and their importance was only for those assembling the gun. The serial number, that is assigned to the gun, will be on the butt of the gun. Like this one.

thanks! My pop took great care of his weapons, I only got a cylinder of ammo with it and have been on a search for more because I plan on shooting it some. I got 3 long guns also when I got this, this one and the brand new in box winchester 190 with all paperwork, the little scope in its box and hand wrote reciept from a hardware store are the best condition ones, the m1 is decent shape and my favorite is my great grandfather's Parker side by side double trigger 16 or 20 gauge is in decent shape but it has had a long life.Gorgeous .32 S&W-L!! I am a .32 fanatic. I can shoot them all day and not tire of them.
