I have a Smith 29-2 bought new in January of 93 for $249 at Franklins in Athens. Trashed the box when I got home. It is still priceless to me. Won’t ever sell it.

I really care more about a box and docs with more modern firearms. Not for collectibility, but protection. It seems far less likely to me that a $500 Glock in the factory box, docs and three mags was lifted out of someones glovebox. JMHO YMMV
